Meet The
Facilitator
 Kristi
Thompson has been an educator for 13 years. She
received a Bachelor of Science in Physical
Education, K-12 in 1989 from Kansas State
University, with emphasis on coaching. She
coached High School Girls’ volleyball for 11
years. In 2001 she received her Master of
Education from Regis University. She began
working as a Resource Teacher in 1998.
Working with people is what she loves! “Helping
someone to be able to do something that has been
difficult for them is extremely rewarding.”
Kristi became a Licensed Davis Dyslexia
Correction® Facilitator in July of 2003.
“I
first learned about the Davis Program from one
of my students. I was amazed at the tremendous
improvement I saw in only one week. I wanted to
be able to do that for others—help them gain new
self-confidence and show them how to take charge
of their learning. I was so inspired by this
student and his father’s loving support that I
decided to become a Davis Facilitator.”
In May of 2005, Kristi was licensed as a Davis
Learning Strategies® School Mentor and Workshop
Presenter. She has presented the Davis Learning
Strategies Basic Workshop for Primary Teachers
in both the U.S. and Canada. Also, she has three
years of experience mentoring teachers.

Will a Davis Program Work
For Me?
Davis methods used at Turning Point Learning
Center show people how to recognize and control
mental processes that cause distorted
perceptions in vision, hearing,
movement/balance, and time. At the root of
dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and many other
learning disabilities is a Gift.

The Program
Turning Point
Learning Center provides five consecutive days
of individualized counseling from
a certified
educator. The Program is
typically Monday through Friday from 8:30 to
3:30 each day. A lunch break is taken for one
hour from 11:30 to 12:30. The Program benefits
ages 8 through adult.
A client will gain the knowledge and skill
necessary for them to access their own learning
potential. When used, these tools can open the
doors for a lifetime of learning and success.
The Davis Program is not based on tutoring or
drill, but actually resolves the root causes of
problems experienced by individuals with
language-based learning difficulties.

“Davis Learning Strategies® are geared for
Kindergarten through 3rd grade and are extremely
valuable for schools, home schooling parents or
anyone who is responsible for educating
children. I cannot imagine being a teacher and
not knowing about these strategies.
Davis
Learning Strategies® enable students to master
letters, punctuation marks, and basic words
using “hands on” methods that are alternative to
paper-pencil activities. Davis Learning
Strategies® give students strategies which help
them learn how to manage “self” and reading
strategies that work, no matter what their
learning style.”
